It's a 45-minute trip on the BVB from Bex to Villars, through spectacular alpine valleys.
A leisurely trip through some stunning scenery, with views of the plains and the Grand Muveran and a succession of typical pretty villages. Once you get to Villars, you can then change trains for Bretaye where you can enjoy the ski area in winter and the alpine meadows in summer.
In summer, the train Villars-Bretaye runs every day from 08:00 am to 5:00 pm. One train per hour.
This journey is not included in the Magic Pass.
In winter, the train Villars-Bretaye runs every day from 08:00 am to 6:00 pm every 15 or 30 minutes.
The journey from Villars to Bretaye and from Gryon to Villars are included in a valid skipass and the Magic Pass 2.0.
From Monday 15 to Monday 22 April 2019, Villars-Bretaye trains will only run every hour.
Exceptionally, the Magic Pass is still valid on this line until 22 April 2019.
Free Access Card
The train journey is included with the Free Access Card:
- between Gryon and Villars
- between Villars and Bretaye (one train per hour)
On presentation of the Free Access Card, there is no supplement for transporting a bicycle or off-road scooter.
On presentation of the Free Access Card, there is no supplement for a dog travelling with its owner on the train.
