Snowshoes: Les Mazots – Les Diablerets

From the skiing area of Meilleret in the village of Diablerets, take off on snowshoes in the real winter scenery. According to your needs and form, you have the choice between the descending version of 2 hours or the sporty incline version of 3 hours.

This walk, marked Swiss Snow Shoe n°5 crosses the forest and pastures for around 5 km. To join the start of the route take the chairlift Les Vioz-Mazots at Meilleret. The start of the route is found next to and between the chairlift exit and the restaurant Les Mazots. The first part of this route descends crossing the forest, then through the pastures to the chalet Mazots. Continue just to the base of the sledge run, cross it and continue in the direction of Tréchadèze. Continue your walk along the path in the trees. The last section is a fairly steep descent which snakes to Jorat. To join the village, follow the path along the river to the village.

If you want to try a sportier version of this route do it in the other direction. It is around 3 hours to go up. Be aware, the first part from Le Jorat is sporty!
