From Plambuit sur Ollon to the Saline du Bévieux near Bex, the Salt Trail takes you on a journey through the history of Salt, with information boards (also adapted to a young audience) dotted along this varied route through mountains, vines and forests.
Salt had a key role in the society of the past and this route teaches you all about the challenges of working these mines for salt, this white gold obtained from a sea that evaporated millions of years ago.
Walk – The Salt Trail
To get there, take the Aigle-Sépey-Les Diablerets line and get off at Plambuit.
On the way back, take the train from Bévieux to Villars or return to Bex
