Nestling at the foot of the Alps, Bex serves as a backdrop to Hôtel de Ville. This property, which is protected by arcades, is managed by Nelly and Mickaël Pöschl, who had the good idea to entrust the cooking to young chef Jonathan Marcello. Be it for a coffee in the morning, a meal or an aperitif on the terrace, guests like it here.
Dynamic Nelly and Mickaël Pöschl regularly add new ideas to their Hôtel de Ville. The restaurant includes a wine bar, a fine grocery store, a renovated café, a terrace boasting a view of Dents du Midi, as well as Restaurant Palette des Sens, which has received 16 GaultMillau points. In the kitchen, young chef Jonathan Marcello deploys his talent in complex recipes. The menu changes every week and guests can also choose from individual dishes from the menu card. Featuring some thirty cheeses from Switzerland and elsewhere, the cheese trolley alone is worth a visit.
In the cordial café or on the terrace with a view, a simpler but just as promising menu card focuses on well-priced dishes of the day and the chef’s must-try dishes: beef tartar in three variations and roasted calf sweetbread medaillons.
