Departing from Glacier 3000, the Les Diablerets glacier resort and high point of the Lake Geneva Region, the Ice & Water Trail is unique in the variety of the landscapes it covers. This hike of nearly 5 hours is only suitable for seasoned well-equipped walkers.
From Les Diablerets, in the Vaudois Alps, a gondola takes you up to Glacier 3000, a resort with a whole host of activities a stone’s throw from the Tsanfleuron glacier (commonly known as the Les Diablerets glacier). This is the start of the Ice & Water Trail. During this hike of approximately 5 hours, you feel like you’re following this source of life back to its origin, discovering it in all its various forms: waterfall, mountain torrent, snow, river, lake and of course ice. Water is everywhere, magnifying this mountain landscape.
This spectacular walk will certainly create some precious memories, such as the Quille du Diable, a giant thumb-shaped stone, or the mountain restaurants, such as the Cabane Prarochet, offering a welcome break.
