Bovonne alpine pastures are a popular place to stop during a hike or a destination in itself to watch Bovonne cheese being made.
You can eat at the snack bar here and cheese is made every day, along with sérac, butter and double cream.
Milking time: 6 am and 5 pm.
You can see cows, sheep, chickens and pigs.
A traditional ‘désalpe’ (when the cows come down from the alpine pastures) is organised around mid-September.
There are several walking routes to this destination from Gryon or Solalex.
