Les Chaux - Taveyanne - Coufin - Alpage du Col de la Croix - Tréchadèze - Les Diablerets
This route from Les Chaux (Gryon) to Les Diablerets includes lots of interesting local features along the way.
At the start of this hike, take the lift between Barboleuse and Les Chaux. Then, head for the hamlet of Taveyanne and walk down towards Coufin. Then follow the path up towards the Col de la Croix mountain pastures, where Etivaz cheese is still made during the summer season (mid-June to end August). You can make a detour to Col de la Croix (20 minutes) to admire the gypsum pyramids, a specific geological feature of the region. The view from here is spectacular! As you walk back down from the Col de la Croix mountain pastures, head in the direction of Les Diablerets via Tréchadèze.
Access to Barboleuse by train from Villars, Gryon or Bex.
Acces to "Les Chaux" by cablecar from July to October or by bus in June : both means of transport are incuded in the Free Access Card.
The cablecar ride is also included in the Magic Pass 2018-19.
