Télécabine du Roc D'Orsay - Col de Soud - Bouquetins - Bretaye - Crêta - Le Chamossaire - Roc D'Orsay - Bouquetins - La Roche - Télécabine du Roc D'Orsay
This demanding trail running route, with a climb of over 1,000 metres, offers spectacular views of the Vaud Alps.
Starting from the bottom station of the Roc d'Orsay gondola lift, take the Chemin de la Cousse and head towards the Col de Soud.
Then, follow the path to Bretaye. Head towards the top of the Roc d'Orsay gondola lift on your right just before the Bretaye train stop. A good climb brings you to the top of Le Grand Chamossaire. Then continue along the ridges to Le Petit Chamossaire, taking the time to admire the view of Leysin on one side and the plunging views of Bretaye Lake on the other. Start the descent to the bottom of the Petit Chamossaire chairlift then head for Bretaye on your right. Pass Noir Lake then Bretaye Lake and head for Les Bouquetins. Cross the tracks and follow the path down on the left of the Crumbs Café.
After a descent through the woods, you arrive at the neighbourhood of La Résidence, and continue down along the stream and through pretty chalets. Finish your trail at the bottom of the Roc d'Orsay gondola lift.
