COVID-19: Wearing a mask is mandatory on all public transport.

Wearing a mask is mandatory on all public transport (bus, train, gondolas, chairlifts, ski lifts).

Please take note of the FOPH Ordinance of 2 July on the wearing of masks :

Art. 3a Travellers on public transport
1 Passengers in public transport vehicles such as trains, trams, buses, boats and ski lifts must wear a face mask. The following are exempt from this obligation
a. children before their twelfth birthday;
b. persons who are unable to wear a face mask for special reasons, in particular medical reasons.

2 The following are deemed to be public transport vehicles within the meaning of paragraph 1 of this Article: a. children before their twelfth birthday; b. persons who are unable to wear a face mask for special reasons, in particular for medical reasons.
1 are vehicles of undertakings that hold a licence in accordance with Article 6 or a permit in accordance with Article 8 of the Passenger Transport Act of 20 March 2009.
2. Ski lifts and chair lifts are excepted; for these, the measures defined by the operator in the protection plan apply.

Since October 19, 2020, the wearing of masks is also mandatory in stations, halts, on platforms and underpasses.
